Heritagefest is a unique Old World celebration of history and culture. There are five stages around New Ulm, featuring several different European performing groups each weekend, along with a variety of family entertainment. Heritagefest: July 12-14 and 19-21, 2002

Oktoberfest is a joint festival of the New Ulm Holiday Inn and the New Ulm Chamber of Commerce. This festival features musical entertainment, including the Concord Singers. Oktoberfest also features a variety of good German food. A craft show is held both weekends in the Marketplatz Mall in downtown New Ulm. Horse-drawn trolley rides are given on Saturday (weather permitting) downtown. The trolley passes some of New Ulm's historic homes.
